I began my riding journey at age four, darting through the woods of the Pacific Northwest in the mid-’70s, perched atop the tank of my father’s Yamaha CT 175 Enduro. I began working in the industry as an apparel designer and developer in 2003, helping launch the street segment for the world’s largest mx apparel company.

Seeing the need to make motorcycling more accessible and less intimidating, I began this blog to chronicle the lives of real riders and their relationships—or obsessions—with the sport, hobby, lifestyle of motorcycling. I hope you’ll follow along with me and even contribute to the project from time to time. Its going to be filled with bumps, curves, greasy hands, splattered bugs, and plenty of grins.

The Launch Glove was born out of necessity, not novelty.

In 2023, after a crash left me with a broken pinky, I discovered a gap in motorcycle protection that shouldn’t exist. No glove on the market offered meaningful protection against this common injury. So I decided to build one myself.

The result is the Launch Glove, featuring the industry’s first overlapping lateral protectors, designed specifically to prevent pinky dislocation and fractures during a lowside. Every detail, from the impact-dispersing foam to the double-stitched leather seams, was developed to solve a real problem I’ve lived through.
